AUGUST 2022 UPDATE

Unbelievable Fishing

Here we are about to finish our second month on the lake, with temperatures in the mid 60’s to high 70’s with an occasional light rain. The fishing has been unbelievable, with many guests catching up to one hundred fish in a day. The sizes are averaging mid 30’s to high 40’s, with the largest pike being 50 inches, and the largest walleye at 29 inches. The trout have been hitting at Poplar Point and occasionally in Pine Channel, and will soon be starting the run in Otherside Bay up Otherside River making for some of the best trout fishing of the season. New and Improved Fishing Dock

The old dock has been removed and replaced with a floating composite dock with six, two boat slips making it easier to get in and out of the boats, and is well lit for nighttime fishing. At the end of the fishing season, we will be taking down four of the older existing cabins, and replace them with an additional four new spacious, comfortable log cabins. After a long day catching fish, sitting on the deck watching the sunset will make for a perfect day.

We can’t wait to see what catches our guests get as the 2022 season continues! We are still taking reservations for the remainder of the 2022 season and beyond, we look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,
Shane Pogue
