Gearing up to the 2023 Fishing Season
As we get closer and closer to another great season of fishing, the buzz is in the air. The guides have been forwarding photo’s of some great catches through the thick ice cap this winter, as well as inquiring about the return of some of their favorite guests. It is truly amazing to see all of the great friendships that have developed over the many years, with guides requesting specific guests, and guests requesting specific guides, both obviously making memories to last a lifetime.
Upgrades at Athabasca
As many of you know, we completed the addition of a new dock last season, making it much easier to get in and out of boats, and allowing for a much more stable surface while casting for the next big fish before bed. Additionally, four of the old cabins were removed, and four new log cabins were built, giving us 8 new log cabins, with three of the older cabins remaining. We will be working early this spring to upgrade the water and electric service to the cabins, so as not to have any disruptions during your stay.
The Ice Highway
The diesel and fuel tanks were just filled via the ice highway, (see the adventure) so we will have more than enough fuel for the boats, and be able to keep the cabins very comfortable throughout the season.
