On behalf of our entire crew, let me express our appreciation for the outstanding experience we enjoyed at Athabasca Fishing Lodges.  Under your extraordinary leadership, the Athabasca Lodge team anticipated our every need and exceeded our expectations.  The cabin accommodations were exactly what we had hoped for: spacious and well appointed; a very nice view of the lake; and of course, the roomy screened-in porch allowed us to relax in the evening and enjoy a few of our favorite cigars and after dinner refreshments J.

Marylyn certainly brought her “A” game, presenting us with a fantastic array of delicious culinary delights and her genuine, warm approach to hospitality.  She made each of us feel we were the “favorite guest” at each meal.

Seamless TEAM WORK was always on display with Rob, Mike, Marilyn, and other crew members making sure that we always felt at home whether in the cabin, at the lodge, on the dock, or on beautiful Lake Athabasca.

Oh yes .  .  . the fishing was superb!!  Catching walleye on every cast right in front of the lodge – and hooking-up on a countless number of trophy Northern and Lakers was a dream come true!  We stopped counting the number of 40”+ pike we landed, and yes, that 49” monster.  What a fishery!!  The comfort of the custom boats and 70 hp motors allowed us to get to our spots on Lake Athabasca safely and comfortably.

Again, it doesn’t happen without an extraordinary, passionate leader anticipating and addressing each and every detail.  THANK YOU!!

The lodge and its crew will not disappoint. It was our 2nd year with our same guide Alvin. He did not hesitate to go the extra mile with helping me navigate what baits to use and where to cast. His true love of fishing showed, and camaraderie made us feel welcomed. It’s not often in a lifetime you feel you can take a day off because of cold rain because the number of fish you already caught. Shane, Rob, and Marilyn are always on their game to meet your needs. Once you go, it’s never goodbye but see you next year!

My name is Bob Behrendt President of the Northrop Grumman Fishing Club. We have been fishing Canada for the past 15 years in all provinces of Canada to many lodges. For the last 5 years we have Fishing Blackmurs Athabasca fishing lodge in Saskatchewan. It has been the best all around lodge we have fished. We have never caught as many big pike lake trout and walleye. All My club members have broke there personal records at there camp. Beside the GREAT Fishing the guides staff and accommodations and food were excellent. Clill the owner and his wife Stella do an outstanding job to assure every guests have a excellent trip. This year will be our 16th club trip. We finally found a permanent club destination.

Hard to say anything other than bravo for the great work you’re doing to improve the camp, and for the fantastic team you’ve assembled onsite led by Shane. Still the same great fishing we’ve come to expect, but the hospitality was 10x better than prior years. Can’t wait until next year!!
