Thank you once again for your hospitality. Dan and I had a great time staying in your lodge and fishing with our new friends. It was a wonderful experience, especially for me, who is a first timer in fishing.

I fished at Athabasca Fishing Lodge– Otherside Bay from June 25 to July 2, 2017. I boated & released about 240 Northern Pike, 28 were more than 40″ & largest were 46 & 47″. Tom, boat partner, did about the same– 56 Trophy Northerns– a Great Fishing experience. I have fished all over Canada & North West Territories for 45 years. The last 10 years I fished at Athabasca Fishing Lodge, where the fishing has been the best– consistent, exceptional trophy fishing for Northern Pike, Lake Trout & Walleye– and a top notch, first class memorable experience hosted by Cliff & Stella, their guides & staff.

Cliff, and Stella, and your entire team–Thank you! We had a wonderful trip and you all were a part of that. Thanks for the great hospitality, excellent food, and use of the lodge in the evenings for our card games.

I wanted to drop you a note and tell you again how much fun Carl, Ron and I had at your place. I assume it feels bittersweet to close up in the next week or so for the last time. I went back and looked to see when I thought my first visit with my father-in-law, Carl Lee, occurred. The best I can tell, it happened in 1991 but I am not sure. I know the first couple of visits the Beaver was the transportation. There are so many good memories, and hopefully, the changes the new owner makes will only enhance what has become a very special place for my son and myself.

While I was out fished by my crew, the camaraderie was terrific. I’m attaching some fishing photos for the website. Notice there are none of me. Always the good host. I made sure that my brother-in-law and son caught bigger and more fish than I did, I need to fix that!

The ability to get a fly-out/in was so much appreciated. My brother-in-law, Ron, had so much fun talking flying with you.

Team “Hooked Soul” had an epic day catching well over 100 fish. Nice Walleye, Pike, and Lake Trout including these 2 monsters, both 46 inches long. 46″ laker, 46″ pike, 45 total walleye, 50 pike in one bay and 20 in the next, on and on and on. Over 125 fish in one day between me and my dad.
